Four levels of planning

This is one of the most important tools that we apply. Originally developed by Antoine-Henri Jomini it helps to identify priorities and those measures that, embedded in an overall strategy, lead to the effective achievement of your goals.

Strategic planning takes place within the following hierarchy of goals:

  1. Description of the venture's or campaign's identity. Based on passions that work as drivers and fuel of the enterprise we develop a vision of the future that motivates and drives others to join in as well.
  2. What strategic goals must be met over the next ten years in order to fulfil this vision? What concrete projects are necessary?
  3. What interim project goals must be set, and how must the projects be structured in order to reach the strategic goals? (project management)
  4. What tactical measures need to be orchestrated so that the operative interim goals can be reached.

This systematic procedure is characteristic of the strategic, outcome-driven approach that actually reaches the strategic goals. The business campaigning model thereby places each individual activity into a comprehensive context. The vision at the normative level is broken up into concrete measures by means of the strategic level, from the operative level right up to the tactical level. In this way strategic goals can be measured and achieved with certainty.
